Tideland, by Mitch Cullin. It's a bizarre story about a junkie father and his young daughter who decide to live in a old abandoned country house. Once there, the father overdoses and dies, but his daughter still believes he's alive. She lives in a world of make believe with her doll heads.

This book was partly the inspiration for Salad Fingers, and as you can tell, it's a book that's "out there." If you wanna read it, you probably won't find it at your local library, though.
