homeless people asking for more

Ok so i was on my way to a shop which is next the train staton i use to go home . I was about to enter the shop when a homless man approached me. He asks me if i got any spare change.

I had 50p that i wanted to buy i drink with. (becaues it's hot here today in england) out of good will i gave him the 50p. The man then gave me an evil stare and asked if i had anymore. I told him i didn't and he starts to swear and calls me a poor N word (irionic for him to call me poor)

I'm not pissed about not getting a drink or the fact that he called me a poor N word it's just that i gave him my money out of good will he didn't even say thank you, he just asks for more. He should have been more greatful of what i've given to him.

Homeless people need to be more greatful of when people give them money don't you think so?

By yelling at you, he probably hoped to bully you into giving him more. It would probably be best not to give him anything next time.

I remember when I was younger my friend was telling me that his mother was at a red light where a homeless person had a sign asking for money. She didn't want to give him any but she did have some burgers she had just bought and gave one to him. As she drove off she looked in her rear view mirror and saw the guy throw it away,

Yup. All homeless people are evil. All of them. None of them are regular people down on their luck. Especially not in time of economic slow down. Don't help them, because none of them appreciate it and you yourself will never need some goodwill from someone else.

Being white has nothing to do with it. Everybody is better than someone else at something or another, but throwing something back in someone's face when they try to help you is just uncalled for, if you do it you deserve to get a little treatment back or they'll still be the same way, asking for help and throwing it away because it "isn't good enough". Detesting that reaction to helping someone and doing something about it that doesn't rely on physical violence doesn't make you better than anyone, or any worse than anyone else.

Also, about the "mooching off parents" bit, not everyone does. Not everyone takes from their parents to get these small and pricey things that you don't need to live an ideal life. Not everyone just sits on their arse and begs off their parents for their cash without doing something for it. Not everyone is just another idiot expecting things to happen for them without them having to go through the effort of standing up.

I didn't say it was okay for them to show disrespect, i'm saying its not okay to say that all homeless drifters are lazy horrible dickholes. It's an incredible misperception of the whole 'homeless' problem.

Yeah I know, I was making a generalization of what probably is most of this thread and most of newgrounds. Kids who don't get how shit works. Kids who think homeless people are all just rude and ungrateful.

Thats logical, of course, but you can't really expect ''normal'' behavior from a homeless person, because they're mainly just people who have never seen life from the normal person's point of view, and are therefore rude and uncultural.
Thats why I tend to avoid confronting these ''hobos'' and the only people I ever spare a dime, are the people who are really desperate and whose poorness isn't really they're fault like old people etc.

There are plenty of homeless shelters and kitchens which feed them. Every time you give them money you're simply paying for booze or drugs.

Adopt a zero tolerance policy, whenever they approach you tell them you have nothing to give. If you feel bad for them, carry around a granola bar or offer to buy them burger or something. You'll find when you offer food as opposed to hard cash they'll turn down your offer and pan handle the next person.

Be careful when you even stop to address them, you don't know when you'll get a knife or something of the sort pulled on you. In these cases it's best to not be over trusting. Take my word for it.

Homeless people in the US seem to be more polite than the UK or Canada. Even when you wouldn't give them money, they'd still say "God bless" or something to that effect. Very grateful homeless people.
