Battlefield heroes is a class-based free online TPS (third person shooter) and has some RPG elements like customisation, level ups etc.
The concept is fairly similar to TF2 but it has a lot of differences like the fact that there are vehicles.
Anyway this is a crew for all people intrested in this game..
The game is still in Beta phase but you can get a Beta key to play!

It's a good game, but hate the fact that the items are time-restricted.

Out of the maps: BB and SS are fun, but personally hate VV.

I doubt DICE will release more beta keys, apart from the people who signed up a while back. The game is almost in open beta (or for a more inciting term: PUBLIC RELEASE!)

If you buy anything in the game, they only last so long. This is a problem with how the game is funded, by adverts and microtransactions. Although weapon points are earned by completing missions and playing the game for a while, gadgets and emotes are limited time only. Would you spend money on the ability to say "Yes" in gestures?

I believe costumes last forever, but having no means in paying for them, I have not been on the store long enough to see if they too are limited time only.

.....not really....no.

At the moment, yes. There will be another one on the release day. That's it so far.

You can try. The option is still there, but I don't know when they'll release any again.

Try, and it might come in days or weeks. I had to wait from I think August, to about February for my Key.

Before you go on about other parts of the game, I have to warn that the NDA contract is in effect for the Beta version of the game. Although I am shaky on what it entails, I do know that there are limitations on what we can and cannot say about the game, which makes this Club almost worthless until the Full Release.

You can discuss the game on a Wikipedia level of knowledge, but it'll be hard for me to talk about the game without knowing what I can and cannot say.

What?What do you mean?..and it's not like they're going to search the NGBBS, are they?

Royal Army for the both of these.

I go by the names Exaiphnes and Exaiphnes2. I started off on the Royal side, but learned that the blue flag made them look like the "nice" team, and thus attracted younger audiences. I then promptly created a National soldier, and just got level 13 last night. Been playing casual for a couple weeks, took me about a month to get a beta key. I like the game because of how slow paced it is, compared to the faster paced games I play such as UT2k4, TF2, and Urban Terror

Well I play a Commando of the National Army :) got lvl 7 some hours ago(cheers!)

Lol, this means that there are more screaming kids (and this means less good players) are Royal?
Well, l was thinking of being a Royal myself (the National Army guys look like nazis-and they probably are)...l dunno.
Also, Sweeper, l coulnd't possibly read that because l still don't haver a Beta Key..
Anyone here has more than one (if you buy a server they give you 16!) and cares to give it to me?
By the way, did you know that they're going to reset all the payer stats when the game is launched?

It is in that page. It isn't hidden behind the password and usernames. It's there before you sign up. I think it is the standard EA Disclaimer anyway.

Uh..what?No, they said that they are going to reste everything when the game is officially launched because "it's the only way they can balance things"...and l agree with them..

Remember this is a closed Beta. Would be unfair when the game is getting launched that all the people who were lucky to get a Beta key, got an advantage :)

What I've noticed is that in the first 5 or so levels, everyone sucks, but the nationals always win. If you have a natural affinity for the game like I did, you'll just rape your way through these levels within the first hour of playing. As you get passed level 10, it seems that you'll be paired with people who are also in the 20's. both teams have members that are very good, and very bad. Sometimes I'll find that I'm the only guy with 20+ kills while everyone else on my team has 1-3, the limit being 50 before the round ends. If you want a challenge, go Royal since they most often don't group together. If you're good, you'll find that the nationals tend to follow you around making it easier to cap flags and get points. But this isn't something that happens 100% of the time, the teams are basically almost even with each other in terms of play style.

Is this one of those games that you can play for hundreds of hours of is it one that you pick up and play? Also, is it kind of a scam like in order to be good you have to use real money to get the best weapons?

I'm trying to find a new PC game, and this might be it.

It's pretty simple to play but yes, you can play it for hundreds of hours thanks to the fact that it has money (in-game money, obviously), levels and it's multiplayer.
And no, you don't need real money to get the best weapons...if you want, you can buy some accessories but that's pretty much it.
