So I was glancing over the nutrition facts of Soy Milk, comparing it to regular Whole Milk, and soy milk seems to be nutritionally better in almost every respect. Less sugar, fat, and cholesterol, more vitamins and minerals, more kinds of vitamins and minerals, etc.
It seems to be better for the environment. Takes less space to manufacture, creates less waste, and doesn't harm cows (if you care, I don't).
Why don't more people drink it? Is it the taste?
I introduced myself to soy milk about two years ago, and found the flavor and consistency . . . unfulfilling. So I mixed the milks. Regular milk, with a hint of soy milk. I gradually shifted the proportions, and now I prefer to drink soy milk with a hint of whole milk, or just chocolate or vanilla soy milk (Vitasoy is the best brand for flavored soymilk, followed by MastersChoice and Nature's Promise. Stay away from SoyDream and EdenSoy). Whole milk now tastes a bit sour to me, and I hate drinking it plain. It's still better for use in cooking, though.
Soy milk is healthier, and better for the environment. What's stopping you guys?
