Are you a good role model?

There are times when your friends mess around in school and talk behind one's back about them and sometimes even talk about them to their faces but when you see them, do you like to join in or do you be the bigger person and tell them to knock it off.

I face situations like this daily and I either tell others to knock it off or I just ignore them seeing as they won't change their ways. It's sad to see things like this. Especially when the kids being picked on are in special ed.

Discuss.

Most of the time I agree with what they say, so I usually join in. For example, one kid whom I was friends with in high school started hanging out with Jr. High girls after we all graduated. While we all get along with him fine, we always make pedo jokes about him when there is discussion about underage girls.

If I disagree I usually tell them why.

I always try to. I am not that type of person that likes to talk behind people's back.

If its behind someones back i tell them to have the balls and honesty to say it to their face.
If it is to their face, but unreasonable, i usually step in with what ever is appropriate for the situation.

I don't have any friends that I go to school with.Even if I did, it would really depend on the person that they are talking about.If I ran into this person in the past and he/she happened to be an asshole then sure.I would join in on the shit talking.

If I didn't know the person they were talking about then I wouldn't join in / disrupt their gossiping.

My friends never did that. Most of them just got stoned and talked about philosophy and politics or listened to Metal and industrial music. We all kept things pretty chill. Good times, I can't remember anyone who was milicious or out to cuase fdrama... maybe it was just the circles I associated with. The stoners, hippies and artists and at other times the metalheads and kids who really didn't give a fuck about anything. Both groups were live and let live so there was no drama amongst them.

one time one of my friends was making fun of a special ed kid and I told him off and the kids mom yelled at me saying that the special ed kid told me about his disorder with trust that i wouldn't make fun of him, when I was the one defending him and her son was the one making fun of the kid. But yea, i usually try and stop them if there making fun a special ed kid, thats just not right.

I usually tell everyone to back off if the person is less popular. IF the person is more popular/ has many friends, I somtimes go with the crowd.

I don't usually look for situations in which I can help, but rather decide to help if they happen to appear before me. On newgrounds, if someone has a serious question, I'll provide a serious answer. But considering most discussion in general is nothing short of mindless fun, I have no problem spamming a little. In real life, I won't look for people in my college who seem to be having troubles with, say, writing essays or having homesickness etc, but will help out my friends if they come to me with a problem.
