Hey! I don't want to be just one-liner on the whole Bush matter, so all the people who is pro-Bush please help me here:
Can you name 7 or more good things Bush has done since he became president, BESIDES all the war on terrorism stuff? i mean, only internal things. (like, economy, education, health, etc)
Actually i'm anti-Bush, but i want to make sure that you're just not going to re-elect him because of the foreign policies stuff, that would be pathetic not just for him, but also for yourselves. I'm sure you're not so stupid guys, so i want to know your side of the story. Come on. 7 good things from dubya. Detailed description if possible.
(i ask all anti-bush ists not to post here until we get some lists of good things from Bush)

the war on terroism stuff was a scam to get saddam. thats it. it was all bullshit. MAYBE bin laden but what has saddam done in all this? huh?
The only good thing that he has done, in my opinion, is that he's trying to allow illegal immigrants to work in the states.

Yes, i've heard of that. And i've also heard that there are several flaws on his plan, and that many inmigrants dislike this program for a lot of reasons. And arnold is going to be a bitch with the inmigrants anyway.
Although it is a relative good thing, i also agree that its only purpose is to get the Mexican vote.

The fact that you don't know why that is a bad thing only makes it obvious that you should not even be talking on the matter.
If you actually took the time to learn about what you are talking about you would know this would only let immigrants work in places that are likely not to even care about labor laws in the first place, since you need a social security number to get a proper job. So the whole "protection from labor laws thing" is just BS. And there are many other problems it has.
So basically, it's just, You can work in US for 1$ and hour for three years and then we kick you out.

They never had problems working here before, now they are just getting less because thier income is being taxed. And it allows bush to take those peoples money without them getting a say at where it is going, since they don't get to vote.

Their income is being taxed? Source please.

Did your parents vote on that $87 Billion for the war on terrorism?

What? Gah! ALL income is taxed in the US. Der, god if you don't even know that then you really should not be forming an opinion on the matter. Before the companies didn't report the salaries of the immigrants because they could be arrested by the INS for hiring illegal immigrants, now they will because they don't want to be arrested by the IRS for tax fraud.
And it allows bush to take those peoples money without them getting a say at where it is going, since they don't get to vote.Did your parents vote on that $87 Billion for the war on terrorism?
That is completely irrelevent seeing as how the circumstances of the Iraq war were not known before the election (2000) so it was not an issue, but no mine did not, mine don't vote. But I do know of many people that did vote for Senators who were more authoritarian/conservative in the sense that they were more likely to attack Iraq. So yes, they did basically vote for the Iraq war, if they did not take the time to reasarch the canidates stances on international peace/terrorism, then that is thier own fault.
So you got two aspects of American government wrong in one argument, begining to think you may want to know a little more about the subject before you decide if it was good or not?

DUH!!!
When looking for positive things Bush has done, I had to remember to look through other people's eyes.
Bush has done great things for business's bottom lines, especially the weapons and military suppliers.
I bet my parent's Boeing stock is through the roof :D

I admit it, THAT one is very good. We could use one of those. But it doesn't seem to me as a reason to vote for him yet, or is it?

Please prove what you are claiming by finding an article which states that corporations are reporting their dealings done illegaly under the table which causes the salary of illegal immigrants to be taxed.
But I do know of many people that did vote for Senators who were more authoritarian/conservative in the sense that they were more likely to attack Iraq.
In other words, they didn't have a say in where their money goes, the senators did.

They AREN'T! Thats the whole point, they will be though, when it is legal, because the risk from the IRS is too great.

No, they did. Obviously you don't understand how represenative democracy works. You vote for a canidate who you think has the most compatible views as you.

As a Europeian agains Bush i must say the anti-spam bill is about the only great thing he's done, cause now the EU parlament have decided to follow his example.
And for the record noone seems to like Mr. President, so why then throw shit at eachother?

Yes, the anti-spam bill is good. Although I doubt that it was Bush himself who thought of it. And even if he did, it was only a matter of time before someone else did. Not a very valid reason to vote for him during the next election...
And for the record noone seems to like Mr. President, so why then throw shit at eachother?
Since I'm not American I really don't get into the fine details of their elections but didn't Gore have 52% of the votes or something like that? Maybe I'm mistaken but during a democratic election, doesn't the party with the most votes get elected?
"- You know, if you ever go to america, 75% of em' there are assholes, but you must know that the other 25 are pretty much OK."
I think it's more than 25% that are decent. It's just that the rednecks, gun-lovers and Bush lovers are the ones who get in your face the most so that it seems like most of the US is made up of them. Speeking of Bush lovers, why has there not been a single one in this thread yet? Really, I want to see if they can come up with seven good things Bush has done...

Does anyone know the exact date that the anti-spam bill was made law, if it even has been yet. I noticed I just all of the sudden stopped getting spam and I wondered why.

And is this 'anti-spam bill' actually going to do anything? Hate to nitpick, but really just because Bush was in office while a spam bill made it to the white house shouldn't really qualify for something he's done..

Gore got 51% of the votes cast, and no, during American democratic elections, it doesn't have to have anything to do with the popular vote..

It's only a matter of time. If you like bush, then you like his policies. thus, there is much to be happy with.

Its difficult to list all the good things Bush does because compared to all the controversial things he has done they are not worth reporting in the media. One hardly hears about all the good things.
Besides, you live in Chile. What do you care? Could it be that by making such a big deal about a country you hate( the dictator thing) that you are actually confirming its great importance and strength?
