My laptop battery sucks...

My laptops battery only lasts about 8-10 minutes when fully charged. I have a fairly new laptop (Toshiba satellite 2007ish). Some articles say Toshiba batteries suck dick.

Who else has a shitty battery?

Ha, I think mine is so bad because I leave if plugged in 24/7 with the battery in it so its been charging for 2 years, its probably slowly dying.

That's the thing about rechargable batteries right now. They degrade over time. I don't know why it's so prominent in laptops, maybe because of the voltage, but fuck me if I knew. That's why I don't buy into "Long battery life" laptops, since the charge will only last about 40 minutes after a year anyway.

A new battery will set you back 80-120 bucks, depending on model. :(

I don't need one, I was just saying how bad batteries are.

I just keep it plugged into the wall and use it as a regular pc and sometimes bring it to other parts of my house and plug it in down their.

I have a 19" laptop and the battery lasts about 4 hours fully charged. It takes around 30 minutes to recharge.

The funny thing is at school on their shitty laptops from like 2001 they get 3 1/2 hours of power with the screens light all the way on and sound and everything. When I saw that I was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! something is definitely wrong with my 10 minutes.

Toshiba sucks in general compared to others computers like HP but sadly enough my battery stinks as well but the reason is i had it for a year and a half now and it's about time to get a new one but it still lasts a decent 3 hours but it used to last 8.

8 hours?????????? Thats crazy. My Toshiba laptop was $600 and I think it was worth it back then, it can play COD2 with good FPS.

What power plan do you have it on? Because High-Performance tends to suck a lot of battery life from your laptop. If its on High-Performance, change it to Balanced and it should last longer

wow, and I thoguht mine was bad! I have a compaq f545ea laptop from june 2008, and the battery lasta about 45 mins and takes like 4 hours to charge. Althoguh it only lasted about an hour and a half max when it was new. I did look at getting a new battery, but £98 for a new battery, I thoguht I would leave it.

Mine is a Toshiba who runs well and nothing is wrong the FPS is a little slow but however the battery when is 100% after 30 seconds decreases 1% and when reaches 50% or less DAMN it shuts down without warning WTF my brother done with the battery options?!
