Don't get me wrong, PC Gaming is awesome. Better visuals and quality overall. But it's just my argument for why I think consoles are a better value for gaming.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy console gaming and think it offers superior value for money too (at least to start with, games are generally cheaper on PC), but a 50" HDTV is around £1000, for £1500 I can get a VERY good PC indeed.
Your comment about a good PC being 1k, a beast being 2k isn't true, a year or two ago I got my PC new for £850 and it could run Crysis on very high, which I take as a benchmark, and even then I could've kept under 1k and upgraded it even more.
If you look at the graph below, it shows what I'm getting at. At the bottom of the scale, throwing £50 more or so into the pot will get you a significantly better PC. But at the top of the scale, throwing £2000 in will not get you much better than £1000, certainly not readily justifiable in terms of value for money.
So with all due respect, you're wrong.
