If I ask for big money then I will either lose the case or spend even more money on legal fees than I earn from the case

At the Friday meeting the bank agreed to restore my credit rating and Applebees paid me a $10,000 settlement. No clue what happened with the case of the bank against the restaurant.

I concur, but you might want to seek legal council from an attourney with a decent track record as opposed to teenagers and 12 year olds on an internet forum. Unless it's one for lawyers and potential clientelle, then go wild.
