I recently submitted my first cartoon as the end result to my first experiences with Flash, and the only thing I really intended to do with it was sync audio just a little bit. When I previewed the movie on my computer, it was synced very well, but, while previewing it online, my animation lagged way behind my audio clip by the end of the movie.

Is there any trick (such as using a specific file type, putting sound in any sort of layer, etc.) to audio syncing for the purpose of making any sort of "music video?" Let me know what you can, and I can answer any questions about my situation if anyone has them!

of course there is an option.. just add the sound file to the frame as always and then select "stream" at the sound options below..

BLAM DAMN SPAM. That rhymes! So what do we learn?

I actually found stream to be the main offender for off cue audio. try using start. and try compiling all the scenes into one. Stream is awsome for lip sync, but when it comes to exporting i always set them to start.. not sure why but it works =) goodluck

Thank you! I'll try it out and see if that works!

It didn't work...

I tried:
.mp3 with streaming
.mp3 using "start"
.wav with streaming
.wav using "start
"exporting" each of these options
"publishing" each of these options

and it's still out of sync only when I view it online; it's still very well-synced on my own computer.

Does anyone else have any suggestions..?

Try putting a blank keyframe after each sound finishes, using start, trying to make you whole movie in one scene or sopying it to one scene. What happenes when you export it as a .avi? is your movie graphicly intense? like heaps of bitmaps or movie files? otherwise i'm not sure how you'd fix it sorry mate
