The Wizard
make your own wizard thing (original suggestion was merlin by: RadioactiveRabies)

Art rules
- No MsPaint
- No Animals
- ONLY Humanoids this includes creatures with human features(2arms, 2legs, hands and so on)
- Make your character based on my loose description, and feel free to add back-stories
- NO creatures unless they are a secondary focus of the piece
- Only one finished entry per User
- Make a description for your character
- Only JPEG format is allowed
- Finished image should be 595x700 in dimension
- Create NEW art, don't post something old you've made
- Take time on your art, terrible artwork will not be accepted in the voting thread
- Character MUST be relevant to the subject
- make image size 595Wx700H with a character card
that contains your character name ,Character of the week number, and user name.

Deadline: April 23rd

If you have any suggestions for future Character of the Week then pm me with your ideas

Here's my WIP. I'm not sure if I'll have it done in time, but I will finish it eventually.

See, the lucky part for me, I was bored one day a few months back and made this "magical fire" background. I benefit from my own boredom, cool eh?

I'm trying out a new way of starting out a digital painting, and so far I think that it's going well. Still have a lot of work, but hey.

and yes... I know it looks more like a genie than a wizard x.x

Hmm, the body proportions seem off. It might just be the angle, but his waist seems a bit too high.

It's about a boy who finds a magic book hat and staff in his grandpa's things, he thinks it is just for play until he finds some bottom-shocking results

I see what you're saying, and thanks for pointing that out. I'll get that fixed up and I'll make the cloths look more flowy too. I appreciate the critique.

kr8to is full of shit guns, the coloring is SICK, it looks like straight oils it's so buttery. The anatomy is off though, her shoulder is huge but her arm is really thin. But i think it works...lol

I'm not going to be able to finish by THIS week, but I'll finish it eventually. And allgunsblazing, I love your painting technique, would you mind giving us some tips/tricks on how you achieved it?

I usually do a non-detailed sketch, then paint a layer under it in 100% opacity. Then I paint shades and more details with the round brush, then smudge a little.
