I bought a Dell laptop almost a year ago by now.. and.. it sucks!
The laptop it self is kind of alright, but it's the "material".
Like.. the charger doesn't work anymore, so I had to buy another one. And now it's falling all apart!
I've got a Inspiron 1525. Also have my brother, and my cousing, and their laptops is also falling all apart.
Notice, that it's not like we're not taking "care" of the laptop.
So all you Inspiron 1525 users (I hope there's not that many out there), have you experienced something like this with your laptop?
Thanks

Inspirons suck. Dell has only just recently started to produce half decent lap tops...

Not really, i just wanted to point out the stupidity of having this thread. Also, by doing so and responding to me like this you prove you are an immature idiot in that case since the majority of newgrounds visitors are idiots, i guess you are where you belong. So anyway thanks for making an ass out of yourself, it gave me a chuckle.

I think it's all Dell laptops, they are made out of poor quality materials, 4 people in my family (including me) all had the same laptops, and they all slowly began to get worse and worse, such as the buttons on the keyboard would start falling off. Although so far my Dell computer is fine has been for ages, I think it's just Dell laptops :/

I've had my Sony Viao for nearly three years now I think and it's great; never had any hardware problems with it, everything's intact and working fine. Touch wood.

My last computer was a Dell and I'm glad I don't have to use it anymore. It was just a slow, overpriced piece of crap that was constantly glitching and having problems. It all ended too when the sound on the computer just stopped working for no reason. Now I'm much happier with my new computer.

I have an Inspiron 6400, and it's hideous!
Like with yours, the plastics are as flimsy as hell; it's filled with scratches, and some of the keys have fallen off (using USB keyboard instead)
I'm also having huge problems with the charger - it won't charge over night, which is infuriating.
Finally, the laptop keeps stuttering, because one of the main components isn't connected to the rest of the machine properly.

So yeah, can't wait to get rid of this nuisance of a machine :P

Computer Companies are all bastards
Just like on my 360
they make one part faulty so as it will eventually break (e.g. red rings of death)
then they put a HUGE delay on actually fixing the xbox with the warranty so we feel the need to buy a new one in the meantime

same thing with that cable
have to buy a new cable from them or a universal one (which is even more retarded when you lose a small piece!)

its totally legal and totally retarded

A Dell 2200 Inspiron. It also came with 30 GB of space, less than a GB of memory and it cost my parents about 700 dollars. My current one is a Toshiba Satellite with about 120 GB of space, 2 GB memory, and I got it for a deal at 400 dollars. Just more reasons why everyone should avoid Dell at all costs.

That's the biggest ripoff I've ever heard of.

For 800 dollars I got an Asus laptop with the following;

Duo processor (2.13ghz)
4GB RAM
250GB Hard drive
Nvidia GeForce 9600 card

I've never bought a Dell computer of any model. Currently, my laptop is a Fujitsu Siemens. It's almost a year old, and it's still going strong. Only thing is that my Graphics Card is being retarded. Otherwise, it's an amazing laptop, and it seems to made of good quality material. PM me if you want to know what model it is OP.

I feel bad for you though. One of my friends bought a 1525 Inspiron at Christmas - how long do they last before they start falling apart?

Not long, if you're not aware of how sensitive the material is. My charger broke after a few months.

3 years and still in perfect condition

all games and emulators are in there and everything works well, no lags and etc
never been BSOD'd and no hardware malfunctions like speakers suddenly stops working or busted keyboard

so all of you whiny ass bitches who say that you own a crappy laptop and it breaks down easily
dont blame the hardware, blame the user who cant take care of it

I'm using a Toshiba Sattelite as well and I've had it for the past 2 years. Still runs like a charm and all that jazz.

But from what I've gathered, I should stay away from Dells.

Dell seems to be like marmite. You either love it or you hate it. My Dell PC has been chugging along nicely for over 2 years now, sure it's become horribly obsolete in that time but a combination of good material and user care (never had to format due to a killer virus/spyware) has kept my rig chugging along nicely. My Dad also liked the Dell laptops he had for one of his old jobs too, better than the crappy Gateway ones.

But i get the feeling i'm like a needle in a haystack of Dell directed anger. Guess i'm just one of the lucky ones. If it makes you all feel better, my brother's PC from Tiny is the polar opposite of my PC, he's had to replace at least the graphics card and both hard drives.

Did you not notice the pattern after a while? WHy did you continue to get the same laptop if you knew that they would just fall apart?

I think the "rest" of the family also bought the laptops before they knew they were breaking apart that easy.
