ugh. late 90's early 00's are NOT good years for domestic cars, ESPECIALLY fords. american companies couldnt grasp the idea of making a halfway decent electrical component. be prepared to drop a few hundred bucks in a couple weeks when your windows wont go down or it wont even start. i wish you the best of luck, but id call the dealership and see how long you have till you HAVE to keep that hunk o junk.

I gotta go ahead and disagree with you there. My 96 Grand Marquis went 70,000 miles before it needed a dime worth of work, and even then it was just a cracked intake manifold. My Mom's Explorer is still going strong at nearly 300,000 and I'm pretty sure it only ever needed basic maintenance. And I know my Dad's Canyon never failed an inspection. My buddy banged out his 01 Monte like 50 times and it's still running strong too.

Domestic cars are the way to go. You ever see a parts list for a BMW? Wallet destroyers.

Seriously my friends got a Vectra estate and goes above and beyond 150 with about 30. While this Mustang can do about 145 and has about 20mpg.

i recently bought myself a mitsubishi evo 4 for £200. 130k miles, bodywork pretty bad condition, windows dont close, generally old and battered but goes like a bullet! would spend a bit of cash doing it up but as im only 18 and i just got my first claim, the insurance is gonna absolutely dick me :(
