Because the shit posts far outnumber the serious posts. Not just first posts. I'd like to think there are mature people on Newgrounds that will actually help people with their problems, which I do believe there are, but those people are a minority at the moment.

Yes, but it seems like really misplaced questions. This place is definitely mostly immature people infested rat's ass, you shouldn't really complain.

I believe certain mods are banning more for this kind of behavior. Someone I know quite well from here recently got a ban for telling someone to throw themselves off a cliff. I'm sure he wasn't serious, it qwas to do with a film or something..

But still, yes some mods are banning for this kind of thing, and it is part of the rules anyway I believe. Well, something about not harassing other users.

Also, with a fresh topic, a lot of users rush to get in there first and usually because they want to be quick, their post will reflex that. I wouldn't expect to find useless advice in a thread with someone seeking help until about 5-10 minutes after it's been posted, cause the helpful person needs to focus on what they are putting and it can take a few minutes.

Well, it's kinda to be expected...
I mean, if someone's asking for advice, the first post is usually kinda long since they're explaining their situation...
So the people who actually try to help aren't gonna be the first ones to post, cuz they actually took the time to read it and come up with some decent advice.

Huge fucking hole here. When someone asks a serious question, they want a serious answer. Given that they know that it's newgrounds and still asking advice, they also know that there are people who will give a serious reply, so they ask. People like you are the idiots that ruin threads that could get a good reply. You go in there, post a derailing first post and it all goes down until it is locked or deleted. Oh and, some people don't like being dicks to each other.

I sure hope mods are banning more for it, it contributes nothing to the topic at hand and sets what could be a good thread off on a bad foot.

This is true. I wish that people didn't clamor into a new topic like you say, and actually put some thought into a reply, and disregard the opporitunity to get first post. It's not the post count that matters, it's the thought (or lack there of) that goes into them.
