It depends what type of heaven we're talking about. Is it my idea of a wonderful utopia?, or a place where you have to be an uber creepy religious bloke to get in?

As the idea of spending an eternity with religious-freaks would bug the hell out of me >:(

Hmmm If I go to heaven there'd probably be a bunch of Religious idiots. Most people I know are probably going to hell. So I'd probably choose to die quick and painless.

You fail to specify of the hell in question is Robot Hell, Android Hell, or Human Hell.

Heaven and Hell both suck major ass - if I had a choice of what afterlife to go to it'd be Valhalla. ( almost ) endless killing and free liquor sounds like a kick ass time.

I rather be in hell where all the people I get a long with are. Everyone in heaven are probably douche sunday church goers that yell at me with there dentures when I'm speeding in my 9-3.

Then kill me however gruesomely oyu want, as long as i go to heaven in one piece, id do it.
But if however you got killed, you reflect that in the afterlife, like say, if i got my head chopped off, id walk around heaven/hell carrying my head and shit. So Then its a tough choice. Id rather be in hell with a bullethole in my head then be the biggest piece they could find of me, like a toe or something in heaven.

BUT ALL THIS IS A REAL BIG "IF". I dont believe in the christian beliefs on afterlife. Not anymore anyway.

Heres a minor problem, were in hell already. So if I die slowly, i'll go to heaven, but if I die quickly, I'll just come back to earth! So..

Assuming that I believed in going to heaven or hell, I'd take the slow and painful death, as the rewards outweigh the pain.

But if you choose to die painfully, but end your life quickly after the pain starts, wouldn't you still go to heaven because you still experienced the pain? Ahh, ya gotta think.

This is really a silly question. Why would you want a quick and painless death if you would be suffering an eternity of complete anguish afterwords? I would rather suffer a painful and slow death than a quick one since in the long run it would work out better for me.

Suffer for heaven. I hate fire. Plus you would'nt be able to bring Deoderant.

Okay, again: what hell are we talking about? Is it: the original Norse Hel, where "evil men go"; Hades, where you aren't necessarily being punished for anything but just go there because that's where you go; the Hebrew version, where you can change your mind and get out (apologies to any Jews here for such a base description); Dante's version, where I can be sent to limbo and have a cup of tea with Socrates every once in a while; the Dark Ages version, which was bitterly cold and dark with a blue-skinned devil? Or is it just the same boring "lake of fire" version which the more radical branches of post-Judaic religions so love to condemn the rest of us to?

Forgive me for being so picky, but I like to have an educated decision.

Well it depends how I die..

Like if my body was chopped in half and then swarmed by roaches being eaten alive, then I'd want to die quickly and go to hell.

Or if I just got wounded in a war and just bled to death then yeah, slow and painful but at least not slow and painful AND sick.

Which would you choose?

Hell is eternal torture.
