Having a war in the year 3000 might be unecesarry!
Just chillin' like always.
War is generally unnecessary anyway, regardless of time period. Guess what? Our weapons are already killing the planet and the people who inhabit it. Ever heard of depleted uranium?

actually a lot of the time war is necessary, even though most people dont want to believe that.

Then we'll be using lasers and ray guns which is even more deadly!

Why wouldn't we make it to the year 3000?

Yeah, sure, war can be necessary. Who it's necessary for is a completely different story all-together, and one of the major reasons why I refuse to support any war.

Because you and I both know very well that the world will end in 2012.
What is the point of even considering this topic when the world will end on the 21 of December 2012?
-EAT WHEN YOU CAN, SLEEP WHEN YOU CAN, FIGHT WHEN YOU CAN-
you have it all wrong people, there will not be war, cause the government will make a new machine that can control minds. The brain is like a insane advanced motherboard, all they need to do is tap in and control ;)
I don't know about this one, so I'l take a stab in the dark.
I don't think we'll make it to the year 3000 to even start wars, because we're so dependant on oil and vehicles to transport goods into our country.
Well, actually I think the only ones in trouble there are us Brits, because we mostly import all our food from other countries, and no fuel would mean we'd notbe able to send out ships to pick up the food...
By that time there will be no resources left on earth people will fight with Fists, Legs and their Teeth.
And the Winner gets to eat the looser... cannibalism will be very sexy at that time
countrys need war its true unfortunately, war economy and all that
but in 1000 years we can kill the world? we already can with atombombs, if enough countrys use it at the same time it can cause deverstatatin effects, includin a nuclear fall out and can end the world, thats why there probably wont be a ww3
also we have defensive technology being perfected its not atm thats stops suchs attacks like missiles and that, give it 1000 years, probably even found away to stop bullets
Not really. Our science wont be able to build something that strong, though our military tech is getting better. Advavces in Automatic weapons, air force, and armored vehicles and cavalry are better than they used to be, but nuclear technology is in little difference than in 1945 when the U.S. droped the first and only nukes ever used. Though range has increased, missle defence is strong. There will always be war.
I like to just imagine wars of the future being like one of those sci-fi style space ship battles over trade routes to Europa or some shit.

Because, to get to the year 3000, we have to survive the year 2012. Apparently, that's when the world is going to end. The Mayan tribe predicted it over 500 years ago. At the end of the 13th Baktun (a period of 144,000 days or years or something), the world would end. It's supposedly the end of the 13th Baktun on the 12th of December 2012.

It is ok to make fun of America. But if you make fun of any other country in a vague or joking way you get banned.
Am I the only one worrying about the "World Ending in 2012 Accourding to the Aztecs" prophecy??

The Mayan calender ends in 2012. The world will also end in 2010.
You know why?
My calender ends then!

Heres how WW3 will happen.
Some powerful country goes to war with another one, say, Russia VS China or the US or something, probably cause by a dispute between a powerful country and a weaker one allied to a stronger one.
Other countries will get involved because the worlds governments are interconnected with each other.
Nobody will use atomic weapons because that's just asking to be nuked in return.
At the end, a lot of people will die and the whole thing wasn't worth it, but since now a days more people live in cities than outside of them, and historically, cities are always the hardest hit areas from Natural disasters, disease, famine and war, massive causalities is unavoidable.
Particularly if you look at this statistic, more people have died from war and conflict over the last 100 years than the rest of human history combined, remember I said earlier that more people live in cities now? Do the math.
Of coarse, when such a conflict is unknown and unlikely to happen anytime soon.
