i think alot of people who make games rely on fair use when using audio, meaning they aren't allowed to make money off of it, and credit must be given.

realistically, alot of people don't give a fuck either way, but most of them aren't making money nevertheless.

when you submit to newgrounds, there are submission agreement you must acknowledge. i wouldn't use C&C music were i you, mostly because it's way more fun to give a new game a new touch, i.e. new music.

Yeah I'd have to agree with Rucklo. If you need any SFX/Music... me, or a number of NG musicians would be more than willing to help. Send me a PM (I have a rediculously huge collection of sound effects, some are custom made by myself)

Not that I'm trying to blatantly self-advertise, but there are some artists on NG with C&C-esque music. Such as my song:

  • =The Day Has Come=
    =The Day Has Come= by Hades0013

An alternative is using a cover of a C&C song off the Audio Portal, such as these:

  • C&C Red Alert - Hellmarch
C&C Red Alert - Hellmarch by Xenogenocide

    Click to listen.

    Score
    4.22 / 5.00

  • Hell March 8-Bit

1.)Just because the game is released as freeware doesn't mean you can use the music.
2.) Why the hell did you bump a three months old thread?
3.) Don't post random pics with your posts, just because you have the option to.
4.) Use capital letters.
5.) Use punctuation,
6.) Use spellcheck.

Yes, assuming you're not making any money from the game at all.

This usage is covered under fair use/parody.
