That's right, a drawing collab!

The plan
Basically I'm going to draw a giant castle. Which will fit on a 36inch by 24 inch piece of paper (The same size as the NG poster in store.) On this castle will be several places for YOUR character drawings to go. There's going to be approximately space for 90 pieces which will obviously only happen if this is kind of successful. (Here's hoping)
Currently the giant castle is a W.I.P (It's going to take a couple of weeks) due to the amount of detail I want. So whilst that is happening, I'm putting the organisationation post up so people can get to work on their own pieces.
To imagine the expected result think of a more detailed and orgainsed "where's waldo" picture.
NOTE: This is desired to be an art forum community piece so please don't flame eachother etc in this thread. Give constructive comments!

I am going to post some pictures to help this concept be understood and so people can see what I have in mind. The W.I.P castle is going to be previewed regularly on this thread, but as you see below I have made a 'redprint' to show you what it's going to be like. Also I'm going to post in thread a template and example picture shortly. Also I will put links up now to the relevance articles:

YOUR SUBMISSION:
Should be a character approx 250px wide and 620px tall, it can be slightly bigger (see template). The character is recommended to be relevance to a castle but doesn't need to be. Also please put some effort into pictures. I want the end product to be a poster for all art forum regulars. Oh and try to make it NG related such as angry faic emblems etc. Artist names will be put around the border of the poster.

Expected questions
Why hasn't the castle been done first?
Well it's going to take time and in the meantime people can be getting on with their submissions.

Can I chose where my character's going to go?
No, character placement may be discussed with yourselves but ultimately better pictures will get better places.

A poster you say, are you going to charge me for a copy?
Nope, after the collab has finished I'll leave people PM me with their email address and I'll email but a full sized finished article which you can go get done yourself at any digital printing place so you'll only paid the printing place that you chose.

You're drawing a castle I want proof!
I will regularly post updates in this thread so you guys can witness the creation :D
Oh and please don't be pressure on me if it takes longer than expected. I'll cry.

A deadline will be set in the future but not quite yet as I don't want people to rush.

This looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. I just hope the deadline is far in the future, because I got my exams this month. I'll be done by May, so lets hope it's later on in May, because I really want to get in on this.

Don't let that put you off, try your best and then let the other contributors advise. I'm sure with patience and a bit of editing we can get a decent piece out of you :D

Is it wrong that i was more interested in the fact that the two main guys are both birds then the collab? Haha

I'd love to participate, but im completely swamped. I can't do anything for a few weeks, but if its still going on i'd be glad to

I might give this a shot. Seems like an interesting project for me to work on.

can I hand draw in pen and scan it in rather than using a tablet?

Oh aye, so long as it would be easy enough for us to cut it out (on PS I guess) and cram it into the castle.

SirNightOwl's example pic is drawn with a fineline pen and coloured in Photoshop, for instance.

i havent got photoshop anymore :(

but my drawings are usually very bold and two tone black and white so it should be pretty easy to cut out

I find this offensive, not allowing MS-Paint!

Yeah drawing on paper and scanning is fine it's more or less what I do. As long as the background of your submission is a solid colour (white ftw) then we can just magic wand it out before putting you on the castle.
