What were your favorite picture books as a kid?
Mine was some awesome book about a kid with one eye, can't remember the name, I read it every day though.
And of course Where the wild things are.

Also be prepared to get nostalgia'd.

My name is Dillon and my gamer tag is Dirron and my favorite band is the radioheads

I read Dr. Suess so much I know have every line of every book he ever wrote memorized in my head as well as the illustrations for each version of every story. And there was some other one about a guy trying to get ingredients for a pancake that I remember slightly. Oww, for some reason this is making my head hurt. Yeah, but I know cannot remember most of the stuff that happened up until I was seven due too me reading those books so much.

How about we all just shut the fuck up?

AWWW, someone got to I Love You Forever before I could. :D

For whatever odd reason, I liked the Dr. Seuss book "Marvin K. Mooney, Will You Please Go Now!" Turns out that "Marvin" was supposed to be Nixon. The book and his presidency ended the same way.

As for modern-day children's books, there's a crazy one I like called "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" by Mo Williems. This is the guy who did the cartoon Sheep in the Big City, if you remember it. He does a bunch of books with the pigeon. There's one where the pigeon and another bird argue over a hot dog they find on the ground.

Indeed, Dr. Seuss was a genius cleverly disguised as a storyteller for children. You can see that each sentence in his stories was constructed in formulaic manner so as to optimize the child's reading skills without sacrificing enjoyment.

Just remembered something else I liked: the Amelia Bedelia books and how she took everything literally. The lady could tell her to trim the Christmas tree and she'd be after it with a pair of hedge clippers.

I really liked anything by Shel Silverstein.
