Go watch the saber battle between Obi Wan and darth vader in Episode IV.
Now go watch the saber battle between Dooku and Yoda in Episode II. Or. Darth Maul and Obi Wan/Qui gon gin in Episode I.
Either way you slice it, the newest made ones are just. Well. Better.
Do you want to live for ever!
I do so ATTACK!
A New Hope is my favourite, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi are good, but not to the extent that everyone says they are.
For me, Empire is the best one of the saga and one of the best movies of al time. I love that movie because of the "plot twist", Han Solo frozen in carbonite by Boba Fett, an of course Yoda.

The fights were cool, but the continuity was also shit (anakin goes from american to canadian to british?), the acting was shit, the script was shit and most of the new characters were shit (Jar-Jar Binks for example). the advantages and disadvantages of the prequels are ridiculously unbalanced.
Then compare that to the originals where the acting was great, the characters were great (Yoda ftw), they didn't take themselves too seriously like with the prequels, the stories were quite brilliant and I think the campy 70s special effects gave it a greater appeal. Y'know in the scene when the Death Star was destroyed they made a to-scale model and shot it with pistols? :3

I agree unfourtunatly. Jar Jar Binks is just fucking embarassing.

I like CGI Yoda better than puppet Yoda. Puppet Yoda was a pervert. I'm referring to the scene where he's introduced to Luke for the first time. CGI Yoda of the new movies had a wise loom following him, while puppet Yoda just made me uncomfortable. Also CGI R2D2 was kind of cool when he burned the droids with his fuel. ANYWAYS. Harrison Ford in the old. Samuel Jackson in the new.

I didn't know that that's amazing. :3 Deffinatly adds to it all. In the end it's an overall great series. Both the old Episodes and the new ones had things that were better and worse than each other, but the series overall was lasting. Anybody who says the prequels were "money makers" are dumb, but I will give alot of credit to the older movies too, Star Wars is just fucking awesome.
Princess Leia in her gold bikini. Good God...

That was done on purpose. Think before you speak. Obi was is an old man and Vader was a cripple. Of course the battle will look like shit. Luke was a half assedly trained jedi that barely knew what being one was about. His being 50% force made up for it.
All of that adds up to some assey looking duals compared to the PT, but I still think they are MUCH better then the ones in the PT.

None of them are good.
this. i find the entire cartoon series to be just plain stupid, and the prequels are definitely not as good as 4-6
Onyl thing good about the prequels, is the fights. The old fights were akwards. They barely even moved and was slow as fucking retarted turtles. Besides that, it was great, really
If the prequels were just like the old movies but with this new better fight scenes, than it would be perfect
Also, the only character I like in the whole prequels is Darth Maul, who had a very pathetic role in the movie and died to easy, so yeah, they fucked up that too
Wat

Seriously... Are you guys gay?!
My personal best is Revenge of the sith, the last battle aced the whole movie. Second Personal Best Is Phantom Menace, only to the sole reason that i like how qui-gon gets killed :P And yes i agree with that someone who said that the first three episodes are better, why? They were done after the 2nd set of three episodes. Effects Entered the world of Hollywood. My least personal favourite is A new hope...Why? Obi-Wan is fighting like a gay here. Darth vader just swings his saber and kills him, so dissapointing. Also what a coincidence i'm just seeing the series from the first episode to the last one, gonna finish the last one today :)

Because Yoda and/or Dooku aren't old men, right.
BTW Luke Skywalker is a fagggggggggggggg, so is Anakin in Ep. II and III.

Sure, they're not as good as the originals, but they're still good films in their own right.
I think people just like having something to bitch about.
You don't get all the hate?
It was very good until this change
