Bob Geldof arrested for child porn?

Word got to me that Bob Geldof (the sanctimonious prick behind ego-boosting events like Live-8 and that shit Feed the World song) has been arrested for Child Pornography. At present I can't confirm that this is true, but it supposedly only happened this morning so if it's true then it'll probably break news later on.

I bloody hope this is real, i can't stand the fucking sod.

And for time difference's sake, Bob Geldof's irish and here in the UK it's nearly 11 o'clock so it could be entirely possible.

I did read it, and you never even said where you heard this rumour. I did a google news search and absolutely nothing came up.

The section on wikipedia that said he'd been arrested was removed, and the talk page has pretty much confirmed the rumour was just untrue. Therefore, unfortunately I think it may just be a hoax.

You're obviously talking about this. Wiki can be edited by anyone and I wouldn't trust the site as a reliable source of information.

Also, there was no citation of the source, so I come to the conclusion that the claim is unlikely to be true.
