Problem with CD Burning..

Alright, I bought one of those Nero Express programs a while back just to burn CDs, ya know, so I have something to listen to in the car since I have no MP3 player or anything

Now nero worked great for a while, then for some reason the quality on the CDs became shit, or it was good but the first track was missing
Now that you understand my frustration, who knows any programs free on the internet, or trials or any shit like that
I already fucking payed for a program from a store brand new that came with a CD key and everything, and before I go through the hassle of returning it and calling tech support, I just want a quick fix so I can make some damn CDs, ya dig?

Any suggestions?

The whole point of this thread was for someone to give me a program they know for a fact that works, rather then downloading a dozen programs 'till I find one that works

Burning CDs with Windows Media Player works pretty well. You can adjust the quality of the song so they sound great. You'll just have to make sure you buy DRM-Free music/CDs.

I just burn with itunes and it works fine for me. Create a playlist, insert a disc and then burn the playlist to disk.

WMP works pretty well, for what I needed it for (I moved to mp3/mp4 already)
If I needed to actually burn something, that's what i'd use.

So, MP3s won't play on a normal stereo, correct?
You need them in MP4?

I know WAVs work.. does anyone know if those windows media audio files files will play on a normal stereo?

DeepBurner is great, it comes with a free version thats not a trial. Deepburner is great and can make audio disks easily.

Deepburner is cool, Nero, not so much.

I use that too, and Nero, and I think even itunes can burn CDs can it not?

If you have Nero 9 Ultra Edition that's why, you should've stuck with 8.

I've never had a problem with 8 since it first came out, 9 has a lot of problems.

I was able to burn movies with it too, it worked for about a week then my DVD player started having problems with it

MP3 works in a car stereo, WMA files work (they're the same thing as ripping a retail cd onto your computer), mp4 is more commonly used as movie files, so you would have a hell of a time getting them work on your car cd deck, lol

I don't know, iTunes worked well enough for me. You create a playlist of the songs you like and click "Burn Disk". It's simple. So, it's Apple, so what. It just works.

If you don't have a mp3 playing stereo, you have to download a converter and convert your files to .cda before putting them on a disk..... I think.
