Looking good. Now those arms need to be fixed so they look the same length. The arm that's straight is too short anatomy wise. Needs to be bent a bit. It kinda gay but if you try to sit like that you'll see what I'm talking about.

I think you have what it takes man keep at it. You said it's your first one? doing pretty good imo. Just takes more patience but you have this Hi res pic in the end that makes it all worth while.

Anyway, I just want someone else to know how annoying it was to finish my poster [over a period of 2 weeks], look at it obscurely and then redo it [In under a day] cause I'm a perfectionist slut like that.

Also, anything I've missed?

Cause I have no idea who and how MAC runs...

Thanks, this is typically my cup of tea. I'll probably do something with the text though, just haven't worked anything out yet. And also fix a few shading issues I recently noticed.

But really what do you use? what program, or is this just the beauty of a wacom and skill in Photoshop

I think it looked better without the second arm you added.
Also make her left arm thinner and not go so high. And fix her knee/thigh that is overlapping. Cause it looks like a bad of sausages or something haha :D

nothing I can tell immediately. The only thing I would say is the perspective of the head phones. But that would depend on hows she's wearing them. if it's supposed to be over both ears then it's a little off, of not then it's fine.

I sketch in photoshop cs2 bring it into flash 8 where I make the lines, then port back to photoshop to color. Indeed a wacom does help as well as some know how. But as I mentioned if I'm drawing anything at all this is typically the type of stuff I draw anyways. I would hope it looked at least half way decent by now >.>;

her left breast(stage right) seems smaller the the other one...i guess thats about what i got

after trying to fix this up and colour it i realized i forgot to put it back the its orriginal size and ended up colouring with it on a smaller scale....causing so much to be lost when i put it back to 5x7 inches...i hade to redo the line art and some of the colouring

I really love the expression on her face and the way you did her hair. She looks a bit malnourished though.

You are speaking the truth.. But no, art is not my major, I don't have any art classes at all really... Schools don't work like that in Denmark.. But I am allways trying to improve :)

i dunno... art for most purposes, has aesthetic value only. if you know how to use colour and shade pleasingly, i think its more forgiving than really good anatomy. thats what i suck at. however this contest probably doesn't cater to that type of art style.....

If you are using the human form, then its important regardless of art style,

an extra long wrist, no neck, detracts from the image and basically kills the art no matter how fancy, stylized or detailed.

that only applies if what you're going for is realism. course that probably is what most people are going for in this contest.

wrong,,, again,.

that is stylized anatomy, the bone structure and rips are all designed to have volume and shape of a real skeleton but with a stylized look, theres nothing flat, odd, or broken about that bone structure.

just the simple fact that you show another artist's example, instead of your own, after admitting you have a weak grasp of anatomy kinda proves my case.

good try tho.

i admit sucking at colour, composition, shading, and style.
probably due to these constraints, i don't have time to spend making examples to illustrate every post i make for these little point-counterpoints we have. i took your original comment at face value. just because you decide to elaborate now on the differences of "stylized anatomy" vs textbook doesn't mean i'm incorrect.

i don't mind showing off better artists either.
