ok guyz, I think imma go try to do a "newgrounds communist" kinda thing..
the censor bar will have random chinese text on it, and on the upper left ill say like "Newgrounds gets down with communism. April 1" or something like that

My first wip.
I did some research, and discovered that this year we have the fifth anniversary of NumaNuma, If that doesn't deserve a poster...
As you can see i'm going for the jugendstill/art nouveau style. No girl yet, they're not my strongest suit (haven't been drawing them a lot), but she'll be in the same style. I spent an awfull time hand drawing (tablet) all those curls and swirls, I think I'll redo them with the pen tool. Also: the colors of the lines and (I think) the text will change.
any comments so far?

^_^ I like this border image and text! Art nouveau styleee - have you had a look at Alfons Mucha's work? He did a LOT of poster girls back in the nouveau era and they might be helpful inspiration (looks like you may already be on that path though). Good luck!

I would like to see one drawn on real paper. Or in a style that makes me think it's on real paper. As this contest seems to suggest, a graphic novel cover or poster of some kind should be inky and not flashy.

Got a 'pico day' one in the works, however it's just a rough sketch, got a lot to do on it (scanning it up, photoshopping) not sure if I like the idea or not yet, but ye kin expect one at some point or other.

Ok guys. I tried doing an all MS Paint Edition. I'm almost done but feel like its missing something. Also done 11 hours so far on this with nothing more than a laptop and a faulty finger pad. So this is the proof version.

Started mine. Not to happy that I don't have any of my own reference pics. Oh well cest la vie.

Yikes...these are supposed to be drawings of hot girls...that's just scary

Draft 2. Took out the clunky-ness. Fixed some color issues, changed the type presentation a bit. And added some borders. All MS Paint.

Yes I'm trying to make a poster for the book, because I'm not sure what event to make a poster for. So, as I said its a DRAFT and that means the text can be changed. The rules state it can be for anything coming up. So the event itself counts. I realize how thats kinda a moot point. But the real point of this is a "hot chic". Heck someone did a poster for the april fools thing and that has passed.

Can someone give me a list of important NG days, cause the only day I know for sure is Pico Day.

You are free to submit anything you want, You can even post something you downloaded from google, you'll just be disqualified. Off course you can argue when people give criticism on your contest submission but if you want to win, you might as well use it to improve your poster.

as for the list of important days, I haven't been able to find such a list, but you could just think of you're favorite (well known) animation and see when it was first uploaded. They said it doesn't have to be an existing event.

I'm not arguing crtiques. Nor am I breaking any rules. I'll state it again. Its a DRAFT. I don't mind critique on the work. I not argueing either. Just stating that I am indeed making a poster of the event itself. I still have time to pick another event. Sorry if it seemd like I was being unreasonable. Also here's the latest Draft. Fixed many problems.
