Binghamton, NY, which is in the Southern Tier of New York State, not NYC. Binghamton is quite far from NYC, actually. I'm pretty familiar with the place and it's a very unlikely setting for a hostage situation of this magnitude.

Okay, this is seriously pissing me off that so many of you don't know anything about NYC (or NY in general).

For the last time, this hostage situation didn't happen in NYC. It happened in Binghamton, which is in the Southern Tier and about a 3-4 hour ride from NYC.
