Hahahaha! This is so funny! Some people actually believed that shit!? No way! As soon as I visited Newgrounds at one in the morning and saw the China skin, I knew that it was an April Fools' joke. Dude, we were like April 1st? I didn't believe this joke for one mili second. "April Fool's" was my first thought when I saw the red skin.

Now, enough of laughing at naive people, I want to give my opinion on this joke. At first, during the first few hours, I admit that it was kind of cool. I liked the fake NG Chat, the funny filter and the restrictions. However, later during the day, it started to be annoying. It was hard to understand reviews and other text. I was also looking forward to keep track of my medals again and watch/play mature movies/games.

By the way, April 2nd is my birthday and I am not 19 years old. The fact that jokes always happen before my birthday is funny to experience.

I must thank Josh Tuttle (PsychoGoldfish) for bringing us the NG Chat. I was happy that you finally made one. I knew that the fake China Chat was actually a teaser of the real deal.

I also want to say that bob did a great job for re-skinning Newgrounds for April Fools' Day.

And finally, I also want to congratulate the rest of the NG Staff, including Tom Fulp, for successfully fooling many people and for all the work they did to make this happen. You guys should win an award for the best April Fools' joke of the year!

I said this in another thread, but it would have been cooler if you had changed the gang in the Flash portal to anime or something like that. Anyway, it was great, much better than last year and apparently you put a lot of work into it.

Thank you for being kind to those of us that are American, I don't like it when people can't deal with things I do, so why should we have to deal with china asking for these things? if you removed the forums and portals, You may as well trash the whole site. I'm confident that some people in china are very angry that we are once again blocked, but that's china's problem now. I thought it was a joke, so thanks for not destroying everything that made this site worth visiting! THANK YOU TOM FULP!!!

That was a great April Fools and it had me ranting and raving all over msn about how unfair it was I couldn't watch the latest madness or play any games. What really got me though was not being able to watch a mario movie!
Lookin forward to Pico day!

It was overall a great prank with a lot of effort put into it, but the main problem was the portal getting overflowed with unrateable submissions because they were mature or adult only.
Then more people start making them to laugh at people not being able to blam their submissions.

hey tom. sure everyones upset that newgrounds isnt in china but i dont think they get it. this site relies on the flash and audio portals to have popularity. if you had to remove that then this site would be nothing. and if you removed the blogs then essentially when you look at it, this site is just forums. I think you should post an image of what the site would have to be. or even like a demo in the flash portal of what the site would be like. maybe then they'll understand it would be terrible. and if you really want to appeal to them, make a newgrounds2.com for them if they really want it so bad. thanks for listening
