by the way, mr super smart genius who was mocking the guy who got upset, thinking it ironic that an american who supports freedom of speech would be against chinese government, you are the fool. If the guy believed it, for whatever reason, it was his duty to protest against the absolute abhorent suppression of free speech that chinese influence has. Your rights end where mine begin, and telling you to shut the heck up if you are supporting suppressing my rights is not an ironic suppression of your free speech.

I still can't believe how many people couldn't figure out it was an April Fool's Day Joke/Intelligent and well thought out commentary on the state of free speach in China and around the world. More than anything, it was a stern reminder of how lucky we all are to have the rights that we do, and whether there is value in a person (or corporation... Ex. Google) that sacrifices those rights and values for the sake of profit. Stellar job Tom.

this was a decent april fools prank. i realised it was a joke straight away but didn't make the connection with april 1st, so wasnt sure when it would end. good to see peoples reactions to this.

also in regards to the australian censorship thing, i can't see it getting passed. its just the family-first types having a mighty old whine because some parents are too lazy to look after their kids properly. but i digress.
