Definitely over 100,000 votes. Of the 650,000 total votes needed at the start (plus tons more from all the new movies... certainly over 1,000,000 votes total), I wouldn't say Joe's done more than half, but he's certainly done in the 100,000-200,000 range, I'd estimate.

I noticed some people saying they're tired of flash after voting on a whole page's worth (presumably 100).

YOU DON'T HAVE TO WATCH THE MOVIES. Just vote near the score they have now. Christ. You think Joe watches 6000 flashes a day? For one thing, he's voting on the same flashes he was voting on yesterday for the most part. I'm sure he's getting tired of seeing the same old titles over and over again, but he's not watching the movies. #;-}>

yeah, but none of them have less than 182 votes.

When we started this process, there were thousands of movies with between 120 and 150 votes. They needed DOZENS of votes EACH to hit 200.

Now each flash needs barely a dozen votes to hit 200. The work is SO much less than it used to be.

You're just reacting to how many movies are still left behind. Think of it this way:

it's easier to vote 10,000 movies from 190 votes to 200 votes each than it is to vote 5,000 movies from 100 to 200 votes each.

Personally, I find voting on the submissions on the last page a more effective way of eliminating submissions since the ones on the last few pages only need four or five more votes until they reach 200.

i wouldn't say its more effective.. i would say its more satisfying. if you vote on a 199 submission you know that your vote will send it off the list and you feel much better by it than if it was at 182 instead.. i bet if all the 8000 movies left were stuck at 199... 8000 more votes would be voted much quicker

you dont have to WATCH them.. just vote.. as wade said.. you can vote whatever you want.. preferably the high ones. the one in which you can vote the fastest for. open page > vote 3 real fast > close page > click new page > vote 3 real fast > close page > so on

I dont mind getting the b/p points but its not just that im after, i watch them to see if i can pick up on anything that i cant do myself (yet) so i can better myself. yes, i do make animations. check out my movie in my profile "A NG PARODY" i dont like people blamming my stuff, its demoralizing, thats why i only protect movies, also check out my blam to save ratio in my profile while you are at it :)
