Achievements

Everyday, when checking the Portal I keep on seeing Portal Defenders and Thing thing arena 3 at the top of the portal, and we all know why they're there: because of the achievements (and the awesome gameplay). I have this urge of achievements that makes me wanna play this games, at first an achievement like 'jump once' will get 5 medal points, then you'll keep coming for more... it's a waste of time, and what's the purpose of having those medals? so your anti-social friends can see them and will say something like 'OMG that's so awesome, I think I have a boner :o', well guess what, they don't care about your achievements because they're doing the same thing, wasting hours in the computer.

so remember kids, play casual.

Yeah, everyone seems to say that the medals get them hooked to a game, but that really isn't the case for me. When I get an achievements in a game, it really doesn't do much for me, and the medals on our pages are really just another stat.

Medals/achievements in general aren't really my thing (however I did get all the flags in Assassins creed "just for the heck of it")

I hate them too if I had over 1,000 points and was featured on the upper half of the top 50 i would be pissed. I'm glad I suck at video games and it takes me hours to unlock things, which everyone couldn't get with the time they don't waste anyway.

I think that they get a higher score because while you are on the page to play them you also vote on them.

Just wait till the points you earn from medals gets a hi-score esque list like number of stickers bought, or the number of points from deposits. People will become rabid over them.

The only reason people don't like acheivements/medals, is because some games just ahnd them out for nothing.
If it was actually a 'acheivement' then no one would complain.
Starting a game shouldn't give you praise.

Unless you trying to collect them all, you must said something like ; "WTF? what was the point of collect them, they don't even give us more vote-point and credit in NG-store"
it's actually quite fun to collect them, but it's most-likely waste of time, but yeah
i do collect them, and i got tons of it, but medal isn't something that you can proud of
so yeah....it's just for fun
