My brother's flash.

He had a school project/book report, so he made a flash about it. The book and the flash was called UBIK. He could not play it properly, so he submitted it to newgrounds to show to his teacher. His whole family (including me) thought it was pretty good, though he could not add sound, but it got blammed. I disaggree that it got blammed and would like to know who rated 1 or 0. Don't worry, im not going to spam you or hate you immensly, but why???

If there was a link posted to show us the video, we would be able to tell you exactly why it got blammed. It could have been the lack of artwork/lack of sounds/lack of storyline etc... Those are all possible reasons, but nothing can be official if none of us have seen the video.

The flash portal isn't quite as prestigous but chances are if it got blammed it wasn't that great.

As above guy said, upload it somewhere like spamtheweb and link us.

Also for future referece, most of the people voting on flash won't be coming to this forum.

Upload the flash to a swf hosting site (I recommend JTUpload.com or Spamtheweb, so then we could tell you our opinion. Newgrounds receives a lot of traffic, and it will be difficult for us to recall the Flash, and even more difficult without a username.

I don't remember watching the Flash movie your brother made. But it takes (I think) 300 people's votes to get a submission blammed. So if your brother's movie got blammed, that means many people thought it wasn't good enough.

Why it got blammed, I don't know. There could be a number of reasons. Having absolutely no sound effects or music was a big mistake, though.

Did the movie have a preloader (that worked)? I've seen a lot of great Flash submissions under judgement, but they lacked a preloader (or sometimes even a simple "Play" button), so I had to vote lower than I normally would because of this. Without a preloader, the movie will appear blank, and so people will assume it's spam because there's nothing there.

Newgrounds is a tough place. You think your flash is the best, and then it gets blammed. Your brother's flash probably sucked balls. Without sound, it's almost guaranteed to get blammed.

Also art isn't everything. It needs good story and something to keep the viewer captivated.
