Last week Tom posted a cryptic message about the fate of the bbs. Most of us assumed it was a joke, and with the new baby it had been very difficult to contact the Fulps for a confirmation. Unfortunately, we, the moderators, just received confirmation from Wade that the Newgrounds BBS will be deleted soon. The site will have to be taken down for a while, so the administration is currently discussing what the best time for that will be and a date has not been settled on.

Rucklo has decided to pay his respects by making a song featuring portions of the phone conversation he had with Wade about the closing of the bbs.

I always knew there was a possibility that this might happen. The bbs takes up a lot of bandwidth with the uploading and downloading pictures, and the percentage of bandwidth usage is too high with the new lit and art portals coming. I suppose I just didn't expect it to end this soon.

We encourage you to make a memorial in the BBS's honor and to post it in this thread. Maybe we won't be able to post anymore, but this thread will stand as a memorial to all of the good and bad times, all of the drama and all of the boredom.

In case this is the last time I post, good bye I guess? We'll still have blogs. :(

That was my first reaction, after hearing the live tape between Rucklo and Wade ... I mean ... its true. There's nothing else to it. You just have to enjoy it while it lasts...

I can try. I've still got my thesis to finish by Friday, hopefully it won't be deleted by then or we'll have a date so that I can at least plan around it.

Somehow I don't believe you're telling us the truth. It just seems to perfect. With the Baby being born you can't confirm it, so, how do we know you're telling the truth?

It was a good run guys. Well this isnt suspicious at all. The first time i come around in months and the BBS is closing? OMGZ ITZ A B0MB!!!!11!!!!

The BBS is being replaced with art and literature portals? That's just fucking dumb.

The chat is going to be better anyway. Now everything will be posted in realtime instead of taking up valuable space on this site.

oh well.... at least i'll have memories of lurking in the forums

Tom and Wade Fulp wouldn't do it, but I've never heard their voices confirming it. Unless you have audio proof of it, or if Tom makes a thread about it, then it is total bullshit.

So Tom Fulp, if it is true, then post about it, and let us know.
