bunch of different ways to stop this. never tested any of 'em.
first off, you could try fiddling around with the sound settings, setting it to stream or start or event and such.
second, much more tedious way to do this:
put stopallsounds(); on the first frame
go to next keyframe
repeat
redo steps 2 and 3 until you've covered every keyframe in that sound layer that doesnt have sound.
third, most likely way to do this:
your sound problem is most likely a lag problem, so here's what you do:
split your movie into multiple movie clips, then when the second movie clip starts itll re-sync itself.
don't forget to put stop(); on each movie clip (one frame per movie clip) and _root.gotoandplay(whateverframe) on the last keyframe of each movie clip
