Is there a way to make the tempo of a mixer channel go gradually faster (like in "edit automation"). Like if I wanted to make a snare drum get faster and faster in trance songs.

I doubt you can increase the tempo of a single channel as that kind of defies the laws of rythm. You can probably put the notes of the snare closer and closer together (making them smaller and more abundant) or whatnot. I'm not sure how Reason works, so I may be talking out of my ass.

Do this: hold down the alt/option button and click on the bpm. Now look at the sequencer. Viola! An automation lane just for tempo.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're saying - you want to speed up the rate at which the snare is triggered? If that's the case, I'd go with either sequencing manually or via plugins depending on the length of "gradually."

Do you want the snare drum to remain on beat with the rest of the song as it goes faster, or go off-time?
In the case you want it to remain on beat, I would go whole hit, half hits, quarter hits, eighth hits, sixteenth hits, 32nd hits, etc. And if you're complaining about how long it would take, well, that's the price you pay for high quality music sometimes. I think there's an easy way to do it, I'm not sure, I suck with those music programs.

ohhh, that's what he wants? Programming something like that takes only five fucking seconds. Just draw the first few hits then copy and paste them over and over again. Make the velocity of the drum notes light, but program each note that accents the rhythm to have a higher velocity to give the illusion of dynamics. You're not changing the tempo here. You're just trying to program a simple paradiddle. Get your hands dirty.
The other day someone wanted to automatically have delay set to a channel in redrum. Now someone wants to have the drum programing done automatically. You kids are fucking lazy. If you really want to have other people make shit for you, use samples.

Oh... That's not a "gradually faster tempo." The tempo is consistent, it's just the snare drum being hit more times per beat. You can easily set up the snares to do this with Redrum.

Image-Line Gross Beat might be your tool. On the fly tempo changing for samples, vst etc.

This is probably your best bet. Dude if you already put in the main snare line, then you need to finish it the way it is or delete it and start over. Push the damn things closer together.

I'm not really sure what you really mean increase the tempo for the snare drum. Do you mean for just that instrument? Wouldn't that make it out of beat?
I am an open Reason user and the only way I know how to increase the tempo for that is to edit the automation of the tempo in the transport panel in the bottom and draw out the automation on the sequencer, but that would just increase the tempo of the whole song gradually, which im not sure if you would really want that to happen.

If youre using FL you can automate the tempo, but not for single channels or patterns as far as i know.
Intriguing tale, sibling.
