Mods can't ban me...

from the rest of Newgrounds. Seriously, when people complain about being banned, they act like their account is on lockdown or something. The only thing FORUM mods can do is ban you from the FORUMS. Now it is bad nonetheless being banned on the forums, it's not all that bad. You can still view and vote on movies, post on userpages (unless you're banned from them), and other stuff. So what's the whole deal about being banned on the forums when you can do other things on Newgrounds?

Some people take it personally because the forums here are the most social aspect (IMO) of Newgrounds. When someone is banned, it's like saying "Yeah, you can't come to the party, but feel free to play in the backyard!"

I don't care, really. I make a mistake, and a mod catches me. Oh well, my bad. Often times, it seems that more of the mod hatred stems from the hilarious lock messages / seemingly unecessary thread locks and deletions.

I usually understand the reason i get banned and i usually see it coming before i post. It's just so tempting. But when i feel like it wasn't right then i get pissed but i don't go crying telling that mod "GO FUCK YOUR SELF" or posting youtube videos about how that mod sucks or making a thread about how I'm banned for no reason etc...

RageVI also fits this category, but as Casualty said, they can't ban anyone from going outside or to a different site at all. However with everything, there are rules you must play by...

This is fairly the case for me. Though I know it's not all that bad, it feels like being left out at the moment. Also, it is rather shameful to get banned. Sometimes it feels like all of a sudden you are considered a spamposting retard and I wonder if mods who ban people also from that day on consider the banned person as a no good punk.
I'd hate it if people would consider me nothing more than a spammer...

Another issue on being banned, which is by far more severe, is when you really need to post something on the BBS. Well, nothing is really a matter of life and death, but still. If for instance your club does something or people want to make a collab and if you don't post at that moment, you're out. Or if a discussion spikes your interest and people have opinions to which you really have something relevant to reply.
Then bans are rather painful.

You do have a point, TehSlapHappy, but even though users may still be open to everything else other than the forums, they should still learn as to why they were banned, and should move on to never make that choice again.
