Regarding the thing you're talking about, the Bytesize player, use the portal link in the first reply, Mr. thread starter. Tom's author comments generally talk about the thing, and we can assume that the player's days are up. I think it's a shame too, because I used to watch the little clips on it... at least, on the opening days of the 2007 redesign.
Another section I think we can assume the Webcam section to be dead too. It wasn't new to the 2007 redesign, but it was, as far as I know, more active than it had been. I'm still on page three under my old name! No, my cam won't ever work, because the software died. I'm ugly though, so you're lucky there.
I do remember the day quite well actually. I was out of education and work, so I was pretty much online all day waiting for the update to be done (yes). I was in the PalTalk with around seventy (!) other people, largely because Wade had posted a bulletin on MySpace telling people to come on while they waited. It led to some funny events, which I've talked about so many times, I'm not going to post it again. You're not missing much anyway.
I watched The Godfather Part II that night also!
Older users: yes, I also remember Phat Bass (I believe that's the name) on the Assassin page. That section is practically why I got a Newgrounds account in the first place.
