I saw the turd of the week movie with Foamy, and I have seen worse movies on this site for this week.
I've heard a lot of people label this flash as racist. I don't think so.
There is a big difference between racism and intolerance. What IWP said was controversial, but it wasn't blatantly hateful, and I think it made sense. Why wouldn't you want a person speaking your language in your own country? Than again, the USA doesn't have an official language, but as a society we expect conformity in a business environment. There has been an argument of making english the official language of our country? Who believes that's racist?

It's more of a tolerance issue. It could be seen as racist, but really to me, it looks more related to discrimination then racism. Not really attacking one race is he.

I can't see how someone can take anything IllWillPress seriously. Isn't it blatantly obvious that he does all of his movies to get a mild rise out of people?
Sheesh...

I don't think it's so much racist as it is the truth. It's aggravating to go into a place of business where the clerk has little or no understanding of english.
English has been spoken here in the U.S. for years, why not make it the official language?

As for jerks expecting to live in this country and not learn the standardized language... They can go fuck themselves. It's rude, ungrateful, and a waste of money/time for businesses that are forced to put up with non-english people by crazy laws.
I never EVER consider other cultures, the handicapped, other languages, etc. in my business or programming practices unless they are already considered for me by the standards I follow.
For example the XML standard requires unicode-16 support and I use the ISO international date format, etc.
Thats kinda, weird, because its mostly people who speak the english language that are ignorent about speaking other languages, why do you think so may countries have some english spoken area's, because when english speak tourists go there, they expect everyone to speak english to them.

Nah, I wouldn't call it racist. But it sure was one of the shittiest foamy movies I've ever seen. It fully deserved that turd of the week.

i agree that english should be the official spoken language of america. there's a big difference between american tourists who can't speak the language of the country they are visiting(i agree it is rude however) and american citizens who can't speak the language of the country they're living in. i don't mind tourists who can't speak english, but when in the work place someone doesn't have the communication skills to do that job effectively, it becomes a nuisance for everyone involved (and i'm NOT just talking about "burger king," i mean real jobs). it's a difficult language to learn, but i wouldn't expect any other country to take ME as a citizen until i could speak their language.
