My friend- a criminal?

So Yesterday, I was at my friends house and we played a game of cod 4.
After a few rounds I asked him how to do some action and asked him to give me the manual.
But he was like :"Oh, no. There is no manual. It's torrent downloaded."
And I was like: "What the fuck?! You know, that this is illegal, right?"
And then he was like "Aw, come on. Everybody does it."
I responded that it's also against the Ten Commandments. But he said that all these were crap.
I am so full of anger right now. And I don't know if I should go to the police or not.
I mean he has stolen(!!!).
He might be my friend. But there are also limits.
What do you think?

1. It technically isn't theft. Theft would be stealing a game. Torrenting is copying and sharing a game.
