How is it that I, a level 17 user has a voting power of 5.93 where as Pimp, a level 56 only has a voting power of 9.62?
Shouldn't he, I dunno, have triple that amount?

It's all based on your BP count.

Blams/Saves is actually an important stat in voting power. It is not just another stat like posts or sign-up date that determines how cool someone is on this board, it is their that all the losers use to boost their voting power. No one cares how strong your vote is if you have a tiny post. (count)

Look at PIMP's B/P rank, that should lead you to an answer

Yes but mind you that he and I have the same badge, the raw power of level alone should accumilate much more than just 9.62 [which only count's his raw voting power btw]

Lately i've been leveling up off my own flashes and ones in my favorites. And then I just vote on under judgement flashes while i'm bored.

FFFFFFFFFTTTT! Ooooo... You shouldn't have said that because:
A; Now people are gonna zero bomb your flash movie's just to spite you for voting on them and
B; The more you vote on a submission the harder it is to raise it's score.

Are you using "should" in a way that it's mathematically impossible for PIMP to have such a low voting power, or that spending 15 seconds a day depositing experience for several years should give a user more voting power? The "raw power of level" isn't the factor here. Voting on 5 entries a day shouldn't give as much voting power as voting on 30, 50, 100+ entries a day. It makes sense that your B/P rank is the dominant power

I think pre-redesign he has like 20 voting power or something.
But it was so unfair considering he could chose whether something under judgment lived or died with a 5 or a 0 they redid the whole voting power via exp system.

Yet, Pimp still has a higher voting power than Denvish who has the highest amount of blams. And something like the 10th most saves.

Yes I am actually, I mean, it's almost literately impossible. I'm only a level 17 and my raw voting power is more than half as powerfull as his, and he's a level 56. The raw voting power should be at least around 18.25 point's.
The "raw power of level" isn't the factor here.
Ultimately; no. In this debate; yes it is, otherwise we wouldn't be talking about it.

True but that's beside the point.

That's just a tad overpowered don't you think? and since the maximum B/P increase is 60%, we're talking about a voting power of-OH MY FUCKING GOD! 29.2!

Pretty sure that was purposly done because Tom didn't want fags like Pimp to come here every day and get addicted to something completly useless.

Jealous much Ripoff?
Also another important factor concerning the debate between me and STEM; The badge exist's to amplify the voting power of an account, without raw voting power the badge would be worthless, if it weren't for that then what would a Sup. Commander badge amplify by 60%?

It's not like I'm saying level isn't an important factor, because it truly is. I'm just saying that the badges throughout the years of NG have updated enough to become the dominant factor. Being here a long time with a high level and voting on many under-judgement animations are both rewarding towards voting power, but those who spend more time voting should be rewarded more. Either way, both B/P rank and user level only effect your voting power anyway, and not some other stat NG has to offer other than visuals.

Anyone remember that time (I can't find the threads but it happened sometime around 2004/05) when Ng glitched and it only affected users level 10 and up, where everyone was level 30s and Ht52 (top user back then) was level 29?
Well, some of us had obscene amounts of Voting Power. I remember Joe having around -45 VP and voting 0 on a movie would actually increase the score and voting 5 would decrease it. Joe said that he voted on a top 50 submission and actually making a decent impact on it and literally fucked up a newer movie.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the system is fine as it is, last thing we need is some idiots teaming up with super VP fucking everything up.
