i suggest you don't use the word "Flash", i remember reading on Macromedia.com how the use of the word must include TM. besides, Moho is becoming and already is a great animation program with lots of features Flashers asked for and never got. its not "Flash" anymore, its animation, anime, movies, music, entertainment, ...

i wouldn't use "community" either. this site is something else. it's also cheesy sounding, like an online dating service. it sounds overused, like when a single person uses the word "we" on his/her site to make it sound like a team of pros.

as long as i've known ng, it's been proud to take a step further than everyone. maybe you could go from there. as far as i'm concerned, ng is in a class of its own. there are no other sites even close. a slogan just wouldn't do it justice.

We have 38, 373 movies, yet the current id numbers of new flash are over 144000, so "The Talent of the Future, Today" is a bad choice for another reason. "If there's a line, Newgrounds have crossed it" sounds like the best one so far, but some people like the old slogan better and I think I like it too after some thought.

like on the line of those ideas. you may want to word them differently

Random generations of slogans would be a cool idea, as mentioned before. I think after a while of trying that, we can hold a vote on which we like the best and also ask people who have never been here what they think of the slogans and the site. Feedback from all people on the net might help make picking a slogan a lot easier.

Read up about this on the front page. Figured I'd drop my two cents on the table. Times are changing and so is New Grounds. Now these aren't really suggestion, more of a collection of random letters slapped together to form words and phrases that will hopefully inspire someone else.

Viva la New Grounds

Here's the thing. Sure, something like "The worlds biggest online flash archive" or something like that might more accurately portray the technicalities of Newgrounds' existence, it doesn't accuratly describe why people should even bother coming here in the first place. There are hundreds of websites on the internet that provide more than enough flash animations, I don't think anyone cares if they arrive at "the biggest".

What people want is a community that refuses to conform to what "society" deams "acceptable". Sure, they want great flash animations, but they want animations without real limits or censorship. "The Problems of the Future, Today!" is great satire for how mega-conservatives view sites like this.

I suggest you don't change it. Newgrounds shouldn't have a corperate feel, it should have an intelligent protester feel. That's my opinion of course.

DO NOT change the slogan to "The Talent of the Future, Today!" There is ALOT of crap that gets submited and eventually blammed from Newgrounds. A casual websurfer comes to the Portal and clicks on another crappy cartoon about stick figures jacking off, and he's going to be like, "THIS is the talent?!'

Personally, I'd stick to the one you allready have, it's classic. But if I had to choose, I'd call it this....

"Over 100 flashes a day, but more than half will get blammed!"

It lets surfers know that anybody has the freedom to submit anything they want here, while also demonstrating the quality we want our cartoons to be by blamming so many and only allowing the best to get in.
