no, even in a world of "peace" I think there'd be violence such as violent videogames, contact sports such as boxing etc.

If we "got along" meaning their was significantly less hatred on account of things such as race, religion, beliefs, etc then yes it would be better, but that's the closest you can ever get to true peace.

For everyone to get along we'd all have to be labotamized and put into a state where we are unable to think for ourselves.
