What was the main reason you decided to join Newgrounds?

music promotion. then again, i don't do much promotion and, lately, i don't do much music.

it's starting to sound like a mantra, but boredom is always a factor.

I joined mainly because making Flash is one of my favorite hobbies and 12 year old's giving me shit reviews.

Well, it was a long time ago. I was much younger, naive and immature. At the time I was either drunk or stoned or a combination of the two... so it seemed like a good idea...

Seriously, I joined as another place to post my music. and so far this is my favorite place to share my audio treats.

The idea of having more voting power and help movies I like or blam movies I dislike got me. Too bad it doesn't really impact movies as much as I initially thought it would.

I'm surprised so many people joined for the Audio Portal.

I kid you not...because someone made a flash that hacked me off so badly that I just had to sign up so that I could give that person a piece of my mind via a really abusive review. That review is long since gone (and the mods have long since given me my smack on the behind for it) but here I am.

I was wondering about that! I'm only just now starting to see an ever-so-slight difference when I cast my vote. Still, the will-o-wisp thought of really giving bad movies the pounding they deserve keeps me here!

Probably because I hated my life and was looking for more reasons to validate why I did so. Newgrounds generously aided to that.

I wanted my vote to count more for this flash movie I ffound, cuz I really liked it.

Hmm, I guess it had to be because I was looking up flash games back In 2002 and this was one of the popular sites so NG popped up. I didn't see the age restrictions so I ended up on something dodgy. I didn't go on the site any more for fears of stumbling on something like that again.

Until early 2007 where I forgot the name of this site and only remembered when I saw a friend playing something... I thought I should join for my birthday but something told me to wait till I was 14...
Now that's the story of how I found NG, the reason why I decided to join was because of the flash community, And I had been doing flash since 1999, these were 4 frame things with usually a badly drawn man with a gun and a bullet ball all on one frame... I forgot about animation around 2002 and revived it around about 2006. I've been practising and here I am with flash ads and the like...

Wow. In 1999 I had the worst jerk-box computer that ever existed and dial-up. (Shudders) To even watch one NG movie would have taken about a half an hour of download and another 5 minutes to cast my vote. (Although it's moot because I don't even think NG had the voting system then, did it?)

It had consistantly awesome flash games to play when i was a lad with a shite computer, i STAY for the flash still to this day, and i regret ever finding the forums page.
