Now some light has been thrown onto why a girl (no names mentioned) who had just joined Newgrounds the other day sent me a PM telling me she thought I was an interesting candidate
for a chat after looking at my userpage. I sent her a PM telling her what Newgrounds was actually about and that if she wasnt interested in animations or music or the general forum she may be better off on Facebook or my space or another similar type of social networking site. When I told her my age and that I have a wife and two kids I think she may have lost interest in my knob because she hasnt PMed me back............Yet!!

I see your point and you're right, it's just the way the media reacts to these things and twists what people think is something that really interests me. It's not like Newgrounds is a stranger to bad press and bad press and more bad press. The difference here is that it was all the users that were against him, posting not to do it, calling the police etc. So if anything it should shine well on the site and community, however it's the media and they'll play the story how they want. If 'Internet Is Breeding School Killers' will sell, they'll run it.

What I can't still believe is that he says he was doing it just for show, and yet he didn't think about the possible consequences by posting his 'supposed' intentions here. How stupid or non caring do you have to be to not think that the people here wouldn't do something? I think it's great that his cocky behavior in the original thread was responded to (Somthing along the lines of slow police response time) the way it was. Not to mention his general attitude and intended actions scream selfishness. If he had actually done anything, he's hurting not only the people who he doesn't like, but also people who have nothing to do with him. What did they do to deserve anything? Nothing, which makes him even lower in my eyes.

This is a reminder to all those little kids still stuck in that "everything's a joke" mindset. Do you all think Wade was joking when he said if threats to the president were made, he would perma ban those users? Do you think Wade has never had to deal with the FBI? You don't joke about killing people. You just don't do it. It's not even funny.

Kudos to deckheadtottie, rig, and the rest for their seriousness in this situation. This is the kind of responsibility all forum mods should show.

Hopefully he'll learn from this... but you never really know. It all seems lke a big cry for attention to me, and if it is, it's worked. Look at all the threads and flash games about him recently. Hasn't exactly shown him in a good light though, which is a plus. The last thing we need is him coming back to NG and feeding off his 15 minutes of 'fame'.

A sad day when the people you're close to end up getting themselves in such a bad mess. I'm just glad someone took it seriously enough to act; I was starting to think no one had learned anything from Columbine. (Except maybe "omgz goths r bad," which is ridiculous and had nothing to do with it.)

My well wishes go out to Sirtom, and I hope this is resolved with as little fallout as possible. A bit late, I know, but I'm saying it all the same.
