Now onto the more pressing issue of the Digg users having a dig (DO HO HO) at Newgrounds.
Which is exactly why the media decided not to post the specific name, 'Newgrounds' on their articles (or they just didn't know). If they released names of people preventing it, the site name, details about the site, there would be much more of a media circus trying to bring us down. I'll show you an example relating to another form of media, music.
Here we see a murder that was supposively influenced by the band, Slayer, and directly quotes the parent of the murdered child as stating this is the case.
However, at this article by Ultimate-Guitar states a direct quote from the murders themselves as stating it was their own responsibilities, and bad actions of taking drugs, instead of the music.
If you do a quick Google search for, "Slayer killing" or any of the sort, you will find pages, and pages, articles and articles of similar news reports to the first case, instead of any instance of the quotes from the killers.
Had the media published NGs name into their news reports, this probably would've happened to Newgrounds as well - no particular motive, nothing seemingly odd about his life, except he has a NG account (which in the Slayer case, was that they had Slayer posters and albums in their room). They do a little research on his account, yada, yada, yada, Newgrounds is plop in the center of the circus.
In the end, that's what I believe would've happened had the police released the details of Newgrounds (or the media found out, or the media published it, or whatever). I'm sorry for the longer post, but I feel that this weird fact of the media not showing NGs name shouldn't take priority over the case itself any longer.
