But then people would loose interest in the topic and it would get a low score. A perfect example is the Shape n' Shape collab, it was submitted after the fad died.

Unfortunately yes. So it's either have the deadline really short and have crappy submission, or have the deadline a little bit longer and have nobody care.

But I have no way of knowing when people will lose interest in the subject and no way of knowing how long it will take for people to finish their parts. This is difficult.
