M-Bot stupid deletes

hey i have a question about how reviews are deleted here on new grounds...
on my time being here (longer than ive had this account)
ive seen many obscene and uncalled for reviews that are left on games and movies
many of which use the F-word profusely along with various other swears

but when i post to someone; and i quote, "don't be a douche" about the obserd and uncalled for video

please any moderators or maybe Tom could you inform me why this happens???

since you haven't posted any examples, i couldn't tell you why a review mod may have decided your review was delete-worthy.

m-bot informs you of review deletions, he doesn't delete the reviews.

As long as a review is relevant and/or helpful, it can have as much swearing as the reviewer wants.

Besides, M-Bot doesn't do anything but the deleting itself. Users are the ones who are flagging your reviews.

Read the review guidelines. "Don't be a douche" ISN'T A REVIEW. Reviewing is giving the author tips about the flah, pointing out any mistakes, telling them what you think about it, and overall, how good of a job they did.

Try being useful in your reviews, and don't try to act like you are SO much better than people at flash, and don't rate their flashes really high/low for no reason, and don't automatically vote 1 and call someone a "fag" just because they're in a crew.

You are not cool, helpful, or funny when you post shit reviews. REVIEW the flash.

I'm pretty sure this is the main point here. Even if there's a load of people just being idiots with the reviews, you shouldn't be responding to them in the reviews section. Like someone said, use the PM system if you're really desperate, but the main idea is to simply flag the reviews using the tools beneath them. Review moderators will, over time, do their thing with any flagged reviews if they see it fit. As Maus said, the "M-Bot" is simply relaying the actions of the review moderators, a list of which is found here, under the moderator section.

I hope that helps. For any other concerns, you should get in touch with one of those guys onthe list.

avoid addressing the author directly -- instead comment on the work. why don't you like it? if you think it is absurd, say that. insulting the author, however mildly, will often get your review deleted.
