The music on Newgrounds has evolved and grown over the years, but none of this would have been possible with out the help of our DAW's. So what's your favourite? FL Studio, Pro Tools, Logic, Reason, Cubase, Etc.
So post your favourite DAW, and you favourite plugin. (effect/instrument)

Mine has definetly been FL Studio (since version 5). And probably my favourite plugin is Camel Audio's Camel Space.

What is your favourite DAW?

If Reason's sequencer and mixer weren't so damn stubborn to my desires I would like it a lot more.

Well, I would also say FL Studio. I had got the Reason demo a week ago, and started messing around with it, but the only thing I like about it... is the wires :D lol. And especially with FL Studio 8.5 that came out today, I really am amazed by it.

My favorite singer/actor is Miley Cyrus. What are you going to do about it?

fl studio ( started at 4.3 i think) upgraded to xxl at 6, love it,

fav vst is nexus, i have purchased 5 expansions for it and there reasonably priced. ( nexus was not...)

i bought a copy of reason 3 at a yard sale and the guy didnt / wouldn't give me his account, so i messed with it for a bit and i stopped using it after a few weeks,

FL Studio definitely takes the cake for creation, sequencing, etc. For post/effects I love Adobe Audition 3. Been using it since it was Cool Edit Pro, and it's still an amazing program.

Sonar, hands down.

I can't really mention a favourite plugin as I'll have to use multiple to achieve the sound I need. I have multiple favourites.

ReverbNation | Soundclick | Myspace
(Latest track) "Mirror Image" - Heavy Metal

Fl-studio for me too, and fav plugin would be 3xOsc :p
I started out in reason, but I hated the lack of VST(i) support, so I switched to FL.
After more than half a year (and having learned quite a lot) I got back to reason, and I hated the sequencer.

I use both FL and Renoise equally. Renoise is better in a lot of ways for breakcore, but FL is still much better than people give it credit for.
As for my favorite plugin, I just got Audjoo Helix, and I believe I am in love. <3

you know, how many times have I seen this thread?

can we like- have a new rule in AF that doesn't allow the creation of "what is your favorite DAW" or "What DAW do you use", etc.

Sonar definitly. Its very user friendly and can do anything that any other DAW can do and then some.

Plugin? Waves SSL EQ is pretty cool. I like Cakewalk's Dimension sampler, too.

Logic Pro - out of all the DAWs I've used, Logic Pro is the easiest to use while providing the amount of power.

Didn't you make a thread actually boasting that FL is the best DAW in the entire world and it kicks everyone's ass... like..... four years ago?

Samplitude, Logic, Pro Tools. Mainly Samplitude for being an all in one solution and having MIDI notation with direct print function, a spectral analyzing tool and a great, stable working environment.

FL Studio. Although it's unfair for me to compare and criticize because I've used FL exponentially longer than Reason and Garageband. I don't like Reason because like Pounce said the sequencer is a huge pain in the ass, and Garageband is extremely limited. I love FL Studio for its user friendliness and super easy to use piano roll, and it really has done 99% of the stuff I've wanted it to do. And once you learn how to use the plugins better and pick up some external plugs, I'm hard pressed to see why such sounds can't be used to produce quality sounds on the level of more professionaly accepted DAWs.

If your work isn't worth fighting for, it's not worth uploading on NG, period. (JrHager84)

I am going with Reason 4 you can make almost everything you hear anywhere in some bizarre way. the synths are great and even if you have to do something really bizarre with the program its possible to do just about anything or make any synth.

that is my favorite because i use a mac. but if F.L was a program i could use on my mac i would. i think its an amazing program.

cubase would have to be my favorite. i find it's more organized than fruity.......instead of having all kinds of insane channels to do what i need to do in fruity, i can compress it down in cubase. cubase's downside is it's not as user friendly as fruity and you're only as good as your vsts. fruity comes with some pretty solid vsts and you can start right off the bat. I also like cubases sequencer better and i really enjoy writing in it. cubase 5 has melodyne built right into it and allows the user to bring up vst instruments easily along with drag and drop effects.......the mixing board is also pretty awesome
