The problems with replacing a BBS with a chat room are...

1. Easier to troll.
2. Can't view previous conversations.
3. Too much talking at once.
4. Less organized.

Don't replace the BBS, it'd be a bad choice.

I don't think so. A lot of people come to Newgrounds just for the BBS. I'll definitely be using the Lit Portal and maybe Chat, but I'll still find some time to come here :P

Most of the sites I've been on have both IRC and forums. To me, they are "like apples and oranges" : two wholly separate entities. I'd hate to get rid of one in exchange for the other. BUT...I'm not paying for any of this so ...

What are you guys getting all upset for. The chat has been in the works for how long and it hasn't come out yet. They keep saying soon and soon turns into years.

If it does come out and the BBS gets deleted will post count change to hours in the chat room?

It may actually help the BBS so people can go relieve their spamness and then go post something REAL on the forums.

the BBS isnt going anywhere. Newgrounds already has a chat, and no one uses it. also, if a redesign is in the works, its going to be 5 years before its done. you know that.

Why does everyone think that NG Chat is going to replace the BBS? There already is a few unofficial chat systems that many people use, but the BBS still gets tons and tons of posts every day. People will post on the BBS as long as a +1 post count is in it for them.
