But the file is made in cs4, and I can only backsave to CS3, so would someone with cs3 please open and backsave it to flash8 and send it to me? That would be soo cool! FLA:

Just send the fla to me in CS3 format and I'll save it in Flash 8 format and send it back. I've done this for three people already... in the Walk! collab. It didn't take much effort, so I was fine with it.

Saving in Flash 8 format lowered the filesize to 1/4th the original.

My big question is:

purely vector, or flexible? In other words, can we use .flvs? It doesn't matter too much to me, I'm just curious to know the limits.

wats this vector and .flv you speak of?

.flv = flash video (think youTube or hulu). Some animation programs don't export .swfs. It's not a deal breaker though. Flash can display .avis or .movs in a flv playback component. Most collabs seem to frown on this though, which is fine by me. I can work around anything. :D

Only vector. I just feel it looks better, and straying away from the norm in collabs always ends up with a mess.

I like it. Make sure you don't leave it transparent for the FLA. Simply colour it white, if it isn't already.
