this sounds like the stupidest kind of disorder you can have. Its all in your head lads, the onlt thing that is wrong is that you can't admit nothing is wrong with you and make up retardeed illnesses so you sound more interesting.

Uhh...Dude....You dont know much on disorders, do you? Of course its in our heads, thats why it is a mental illness. Nothing is physcially holding us back, but it isnt anything that can be controlled. Dude pick up a book or something. I hope you get it one day to understand and open your mind to a few things.

For fuck's sake don't try t make me beleive you just HAD to take 8 hour baths or you'd freak out, or that is someone's ring is crooked you have to fix it, or is someone touches you, you HAVE to wipe it off.
That's no disorder, that's a fucking lack of repsect for others and you shouldn't do it and you can't blame it on some fake illness.

...Dude..Everything that you are typing right now is very disturbing. You know NOTHING About OCD ...Do you?

>: (
Doctors have you in their pockets, selling you retard pills. I bet that in the future, mental illnesse wil get more and more "known" because people will stop eating shit and thus will have less physical ones, so they'll have to sell pills for imaginary stuff.

Most people without those pills cant stand OCD more than a few monts and kill themselves. Ya..Im sure it's just a blow over, cause ya know, its excuses so we get to be rude and to be riped off.

Asshole.

you shouldn't talk about things you're un-aware of... .if you had OCD, your life would be very different, it is not easy to overcome. Shocking only works temporarly, the disorder often returns in times of stress or sickness....

Recenly mine has returned.........because I've been having problems with my boyfriend's mother.

yeah... so in conclusion, your arguments are: you don't understand.
Way to make me understand better.

Ever seen that SouthPark episode where like all the children in the town have ADD?
Seen that one?
Know what the message is?

Message: Ass brings lots of money to medical industry, and its helluva easy to make people believe they have it, and on top of that they can't say anything because "they don't understand" or "they're not qualified".
Well some people probably DO have ADD or serious cases of OCD, but I bet more than half don't have any problems at all and are taking pills for no good reason.

But as long as the doctors say so, what can I say? Only what I think. If you think I'm full of shit, then go ahead and take all the pills you want.

Oh, and I see conspiracies everywhere too, I should probably see a doctor.

Fucking agreed.

Look poxpower..Its simple, you know if you have OCD or not, there is no docter trying to get you meds shit..because you go see the docter when you start to have rituals and thoughts that consume your day to a scary amount and one that effects your life. It is obvious the docter isnt going to go
"Well lets see...It seems you cant leave the house if this and this isnt right and it takes you 2 hours to fix whatever this is, and you cant read this and this words, or think these and these thoughts, or you have an anxietys attack, and you cant compell your self from this action when this happens to you ,....well this sounds so made up..Go back home and sleep on it!"
They have to prescripe meds for the first months to a year, so when you cope or see a therapist, you have something to help in the mean time before you see long term results.
I dont give a fuck what a show about aliens and pokemon corruption and shit tells YOU, i care about real knowledge. When you cant break a ritual with sever consequences, i promise you it isnt made up. Like anxiety. 5 million of the population has it..thats only 5 percent of the world..But notice how many you bumped into in NA? Its common non the less, and lots arent even reported anyways!
You go one believing OCD is made up, and people make it up to be COOL or what not, but these people who face these problems are REAL and cant be fixed with " its all my head..ALL GONE!"
i just recovered from hypochondria. it took me a year to rid of it..and this time i KNEW it was in my head, but it is such an obsession, it doesnt CARE you know what is logic or not. THATS HOW DISORDERS WORK. I know im not dying..But i feel like im dying, what if im wrong thing time and really dying? My jaw does feel tight..odd...THINGS GET TO YOU , in ways you cant explain..and you know things are in your head, but when you OBSESSE about them..hense the OBSESSIVE compulsive disorder,
logic has no chance in the fight anymore.
and ya my only defense is that you dont understand, and that it is valid enough, because it stead of checking out facts, or researching it or looking up on it at all, you just state your opinion of a fact.
I really hope one day you would be diagnosed with OCD. God..You wouldnt last long.

I think what Poxy is trying to say, is that, suddenly, everyone is coming out of the 'OCD closet' so to speak, saying, "OMG! I HAVE OCD TOO! HAHA! WHAT A WEIRD COINCIDENCE!!!"

Yes, there is such thing as the disorder, but at the same time, a lot of it is just someone wanting to be OCD so they have an excuse to act all gimmie gimmie gimmie.

Judging by your symptons, or whatever, I SHOULD have OCD (due to the symptons), but quite frankly, I don't have it, because I refuse to let myself have something like that.

For the most part, it's just mind over matter. Some people, in this topic, are objectifying people with OCD, which is pissing off the people who REALLY have it.

So basically, I'm saying, a lot of you are lying sacks of wannabe disorder hounds.

Or you want an excuse for your unexplained behaviour, so instead of blaming it on your social inadequacy, you blame it on the fact that you 'have OCD'.

*rolls eyes*

I just wanna say real quick that just because some people do have mental disorders that really fucking suck to have, doesn't mean that all mental disorders are real. The more research I do into various mental disorders (and I've done my fair share, it's a hobby, I suppose, the human mind fascinates me), the more and more I realize that a lot of what doctors and psychiatrists say is utter bullshit, shit they make up so they can justify their taking thousands of dollars from hapless people who don't know any better, on top of their attitute towards these people. I get the feeling they just want to justify their having spent so much money on all the schooling needed to even be in such a field. This is a big part of the reason I hate doctors and shrinks so much.

My brother who is nearly 14 suffers from OCD too, he said to me there is someone controlling his mind or something and if he doesn't do all those weird habbits like touching the mouse (on the comp) , wipeing his nose, touching the mouse, etc. He thinks something bad will happen to him, me or anyone else from my family, It worries him he said and it worries me too, even though I don't have OCD I still feel for him.

Just Recently my bro told me that OCD had come back again after my dad had spent over 1000 dollars on visits to a psychorotrist (or something like that)

ok, you people, stop coming in here trying to convince us we dont have a disorder. If anyone in here is lying about their OCD, it's not up to you to try to figure out who is doing the lying , so fuck off.

This isn't so much about the OCD as about the ADD. . i'm not saying that aren't really people with ADD, but the number of cases of ADD has sky-rockted the last couple of years. . people are getting their kids/friends/family on meds instaid of just telling them to stop acting. .

disorders suck. . i have insomnia. . can only sleep for 3 hours on end. . i'm awake at the freakyest hours. .

I believe in ADD, it's real.... was diagnosed when I was only 6 years old... I took Ritilin back in the 80s, up until I was a Jr. in highschool back in 98. I however am an advocate for other treatment, rather than the miricle pill. Ritilin sucks, I was a Ritzombie for almost my entire life. There isn't any proof yet, but I believe that my over-medication caused most of the disorders I have now, addictive personality disorder, OCD, insomnia, anxiety disorder.

The one disorder I detest, is OD disorder. It's a nice way of saying your kid is a wack job. It's also known as Oppositional Defiance disorder. In other words, bad paranting leads to bad kids....then they need something to blame it on.
