I'm kind of glad that they didn't mention Newgrounds actually. The reputation of this site barely survived Jeff Weise. I think that part of the reason the BBC didn't mention this site is because of posts earlier on this thread asking not to. I think the police who leaked this story to the press probably asked the BBC to use their discretion and not mention the name of this website.

Does anyone know what the motive was yet?
Seems odd this guy is a regular on newgrounds and even attended the London meetup.
What did he think would happen by posting about this?

BBC needs to give credit when credit is due. They need to look at how Wade, the mods, and a few members of the community busted their asses out of their spare time to make sure nothing happened.

alerted the authorities and the youth was arrested.

Knowing the way the BBC do these smaller articles, they might very well update themselves when they have more information on how sirtom93 goes on. Reading even that small article honestly makes me even more thankful to guys like Mr. W. Fulp, Rig and deckheadtottie, among all the others that helped, not just the mods. On top of that, I'm thinking about sirtom93 will continue his life now. Maybe I'm too serious or whatever... I like to think we look after each other here, once you get past the macho nature of some of us anyway.

I think it's for the best that NG's name stays out of this one, to be honest. NG doesn't have the best track record for stuff like this, and the last thing any of the admins (or anyone else for that matter) need is another shitstorm over what NG may-or-may-not- have caused.
